There's no single right way to use it. Pick the mode that matches your energy today.
Relaxed
Just watch something you enjoy in the language you're learning. Look up a word when one catches your attention, and let the rest wash over you. This still counts.
Focused
Pick one thing to work on. Train your ear on the audio alone, or read along with the transcript, or collect new vocabulary. One goal per session is plenty.
Intensive
Work through a short clip until you understand every word. Slow, demanding, and very effective in small doses. Two or three minutes is a real session.
One piece of advice
Don't get stuck on a single word. If it matters, it will come back later in the same video, or in the next one. Moving on is usually the faster way to learn it.
Enjoy it, and good luck.
